The most memorable adventure

Aloha,

Today I am going to be sharing with you all my fun activities I have done for a day. We went Orienteering and surfing. 

We went to Orienteering first. Once we got to Orienteering we were allowed to eat. Then we had a practice.  Then they gave us a map to use to look for the clip thingy's. We had to collect 50 I think. One parent actually helped us. After that we went down to where the playground was and had lunch. When we finished eating we had to get into a line and walk to where we were surfing. when we started walking I was holding my jacket and it fell but I didn't know, So when I walked I tripped over and hurt my finger but it didn't really hurt.

The moment I really enjoyed was playing around with my friends. I also enjoyed walking around the park looking for the clipper thingy.

My amazing adventure

Welcome back to my blog. I really missed you all. 

Today I will be sharing with you all my fun on EOTC (Education outside the classroom) week. But today I am going to be just sharing with you all my amazing adventure at Godly head and the Air Force Museum. 

 We first went to Godly head I thought it was just to play around there but it was a walk around the mountain. But it was actually fun even though I kept stopping.

I enjoyed when the teachers gave us a list of the alphabet and we had to go around the Air Force Museum and look for items that start with that letter.

 My friend Christina is a person who wanders around. At the Air Force Museum we lost her when we were going upstairs and I was just laughing but when I went down to look for her we couldn't find her. But then she walked into where we were.

Writing: Power outage

Hello,

Today I am going to show you my writing. My writing is about when the power goes off. Miss Leonard gave us a sentence to start with and then she gave us words that we had to add in. WE also had to use our six senses. The word that's colored blue ish green that is the words that we had to include. The sentences that are colored that is the sentences were the six senses are.

Power outage 

One night I was chilling on my couch eating Doritos I could taste the amazing flavor of the chips it was thai sweet chilli, I was so happy because Thai sweet chili is my favorite flavor. I was with my dad watching our favorite TV show. My mom was in the kitchen preparing dinner and I could smell the amazing food she made, Then ‘I could hear the thunder, booming in the sky. Suddenly the lights went out and the room went pitch black. I was hesitant to move so I stayed there for a little while. I felt so scared of the dark, I was so happy that my parents didn’t have work tonight. I could feel my dad holding my hand so tight.

 I wanted to go to the basement to get a flashlight but I was forbidden from my parents. 30 minutes later I saw a light coming from the window, so I looked outside and my neighbor was covered in Christmas lights. In my mind I was like how is the lights working when there is no power and it’s raining hard. I watched my neighbor for a little while. He started dancing and I thought it was fascinating to watch. My parents were trying to talk to me but I was so unfocused because I was still watching my neighbor. Then the lights on the street came on and the storm stopped and everyone’s house was lighting up it was so cool to watch.

THE WATER PLAYGROUND

One hot day I was so hot I thought that I was gonna burn, so I asked my mother if she could take us to the water playground in town but she said no but I got on my knees and begged her. 

After begging her she finally said yes. She said “If you want to go to the water playground you better tell your cousins and your brother to pack their clothes for after swimming”. I said ok, I called out to my cousins and my brother to get up and pack some clothes. I went into my room and got my bag and just grabbed some clothes out of my closet and just started throwing it into my bag.  

Then we got into the car and drove to the water playground. The water playground that we were going to was a new playground. It takes 3 hours to get there. Once we got there were lots of people. My cousins said at the same time “ Can we go, can we go now please, pretty please”. Then my mum said “OK but be careful and no fighting”. We all got off and started running. 

When we reached the water playground we started playing around with new people on the slides and going under umbrellas that has water coming from the top. My cousin said to me “I’m having so much fun, thanks for asking your mum to bring us here”. 2 hours later my mum said “let’s go home now, but first get changed then we go home. Then we went home and ate McDonald.

Reading

Today at swimming I didn't have my togs so my teacher told us to take a book or do some blogging. I decided to read a book that I got from Humphry Rolleston. The book that I am reading is Amulet and it is a comic book. Once I started reading it I found out it wasn't my kind of book. Here is a photo the book.

Choir rehersals

Hello everyone,

Yesterday we went to the Horncastle arena. In the morning at 8:30 miss D checked if everyone was here. once miss D finished we got in a line and walked to the bus. when we were got on the bus I sat with my friend Kalolaine. When we were on the way to the Horncastle arena it was so hot and I thought I was gonna burn. Once we got there we got of and went inside. We waited for like 20 minutes then we went up. Then we started singing lots of songs. After 3 songs or 4 we had morning tea.  After that we sang again. When we finished we went outside and onto the bus. On the bus it was still so hot. Then we made it safely to school.

“No, no, no!” I was sliding back into the dream. I was screaming because I was going into a bad dream with my brother. Once we were  fully in the dream we were in a haunted and spooky house. 

We walked in the house and the floor was creaking right as we touched the floor with our feet. As we were walking, I kept hearing scary noises like if someone was tumbling on the floor. 

Then we were hungry and we looked for food in the cupboard and there was only one chip packet  And I grabbed it and smelt it, then my brother said you are give me some and I said no then he started chasing me then I decided to give him some by the time I stopped I was grasping. 

After that we decided to look around and we went into a room and there were lots of scary dolls and right when I looked at the scariest one I ran into the corner and started Sniffling. I decided to slap my face, When I slapped it I woke up.

FUN SPORTS!!!

aloha everyone,

This morning the children that didn't go to swimming we went with the amazing miss Scott and we joined her when she had buddy time. For her buddy time we had three rotations the first one I went to was egg spoon but we used a tennis ball. The second rotation I went to was one leg with a buddy. The last rotation was a sack race. After that we went back to our class and we then had fitness. We went outside and played bull-rush. Then we came back and had morning tea.

Hotspot Writing

Hello Everyone,

Today and yesterday we have been learning how to be fluent  writers and know what writing fluent feels like.

Here is my writing and there might be mistakes in my writing but keep in mind we only had 5 minutes so we had to put 

anything thing that comes in our mind. We started with a prompt sentence which is highlighted.

He hadn't seen the old man since he was 5 years old and he was sad and happy at the same time because he was now 7. The old man had a disease called cancer. 

After that day the little boy would visit him after or before school. He loved him with all his heart. After a month he was very, very sick and the little boy was so sad so he didn't go to school. He spent all his time with the old man who was his grandpa. He spent every day with him. Mostly he went there just to check in on him and one day he was too late! His grandpa had died in his bed. The little boy was so sad that he would go to his Grandpa's house even though he was not alive. He would always pray to God and say that he is in a good place. He was loved by his Grandpa even though he had only spent one month with him. He turned 10 and he was sad that his grandpa was not there for his 10th birthday but he was happy that his grandpa was in a good place called Heaven.
