Hotspot Writing

Hello Everyone,

Today and yesterday we have been learning how to be fluent  writers and know what writing fluent feels like.

Here is my writing and there might be mistakes in my writing but keep in mind we only had 5 minutes so we had to put 

anything thing that comes in our mind. We started with a prompt sentence which is highlighted.

He hadn't seen the old man since he was 5 years old and he was sad and happy at the same time because he was now 7. The old man had a disease called cancer. 

After that day the little boy would visit him after or before school. He loved him with all his heart. After a month he was very, very sick and the little boy was so sad so he didn't go to school. He spent all his time with the old man who was his grandpa. He spent every day with him. Mostly he went there just to check in on him and one day he was too late! His grandpa had died in his bed. The little boy was so sad that he would go to his Grandpa's house even though he was not alive. He would always pray to God and say that he is in a good place. He was loved by his Grandpa even though he had only spent one month with him. He turned 10 and he was sad that his grandpa was not there for his 10th birthday but he was happy that his grandpa was in a good place called Heaven.

Hotspot Writing Term 4

Hi Readers,

Today I am going to be showing you my Hotspot writing. For this writing our teacher has showed us a website where you have to write for 5 minutes  and if you stop for too long it will say you failed. 
There are some sentences that My teacher have given me. They are highlighted.

Here is my writing...

As he opened the car door, there was a loud bang so he decided to go and look so see what was happening. When he got there he said “OH MY GOODNESS!! "Those people are breaking into the neighbours house”. He called the police. 10 minutes later the police arrived and went to look inside the man’s neighbours house. When the police finished they came outside. They told the man that the people have escaped out the back door. The man said “sorry I couldn't do anything about it”. He went inside his neighbours house and saw that everything was gone. He decided to go back into his house to see if they broke into his house luckily nothing was taken. After all that happened he got into his car and went to work.

Hotspot writing

Aloha Everyone,

Today I'm gonna show you my Hotspot writing. It is about 3 astronaut going to Uranus. Here is a photo and writing.

 

Once upon a time there were these astronauts that went to Uranus. They decided one day they would go to Uranus so they went. Once they got there they heard some noises so they decided to take their guns out and they put on their strong suits and they put their helmets on. 

After putting on their clothes they went out. When they got out they stepped on the snow and ice their foot kinda went down. When they were walking, they heard something close so while they were walking their guns were pointing up just in case someone was there.

After 30 minutes of looking around  they couldn’t find anyone so they decided to lie down and relax. When they laid down they fell asleep. Once they woke up they looked around and one man was dead and all their guns were gone so they decided to find it. While they were walking, they heard a loud bang so they all ran to their rocket ship and blasted off.

Hotspot Writing: Show Not Tell

Today I have been learning to show and describe and to not tell.

Miss D has put a short sentence and we have to make a paragraph or a sentence and show how the person is feeling without putting the word that the person is feeling so we have to describe the person and use different words to describe. Here is my table that I worked on.
