Critical Question: How did the treaty make life worse for Maori?
The treaty made life worse for Maori because after the treaty was signed, British started the first NZ wars.

ReplyDeleteWell done on completing your reading activities for Te Tiriti o Waitangi. I am very impressed with the information in your google drawing, but I think that some of this hasn't be written in your own words.
Remember that the treaty had different words in the English and Maori versions and this is why there was lots of fighting. Both the British and Maori people thought that they had authority over the land and people in Aotearoa. Life was worse for Maori after the treaty because of the wars, but also because Europeans were buying their land for a lot less money than it was worth.
Keep up the good work.
